Harold Lomas
Harold Lomas died on 30th December aged 90. Harold served as Chairman of the Trustees and was a diligent supporter of the charity for many years from the late 1980’s until he resigned in 1996.

December Concert
Another enjoyable event and a generous audience contributing £696 – to enable us to continue to help those less fortunate in this Christmas Season.

November Barndance
A good crowd enjoyed getting together, dancing and  raising £647 for the charity. Thanks, as ever, to the marvellous Haycorn and our jovial caller for donating their services.

October Souperday
The October Souperday raised over £1100. Thanks to everybody who helped or supported.

June Gardens Day
We are thrilled with the response to our 21st Gardens Day. In excess of £9,800 was raised on the day, with about 560 people touring the 17 open gardens. At many of the gardens refreshments were served, including wonderful home-made cakes. Waitrose supermarket and All-U-Need convenience store on Chapel Lane sponsored the popular lunches sold at St John’s Church Rooms. We were particularly thankful for the warm, dry weather after continuous rain on the previous day!

Our charity is deeply grateful for the generosity of the Gardeners who opened their beautiful gardens for us and to everyone who supported us. The charity’s Trustees meet next week to decide how to spend the money raised – we have several potential projects in Uganda and Kenya to consider which sound promising.

February Souperday
Another great Souperday on the 21st February which raised £1209. Thanks everybody who helped and supported.
