Wilmslow Wells for Africa Gardens Day
Saturday 27th June 2026
Over £15,500 raised
We are delighted that once again, Gardens Day on 27th June was a great success. All of the 19 gardens received many visitors and over £15,500 was raised for the charity, a fantastic result!
Chairman David Cash said “We had an another fantastic Gardens Day. The funds raised, together with other donations, means we can immediately release over £22,000 for projects selected by the Trustees”
A special thanks also goes to The Potting Shed, Primrose Cottage Nursery and Chelsea Flowers who helped sell tickets in advance.
Update
When the Trustees met following Gardens Day, they were able to commit to funding 5 new projects (two in Uganda and one each in Zambia, Ghana and Malawi). The proceeds from Gardens Day made the major contribution to this achievement which will bring fresh water or sanitation to at least 16,500 people living in remote parts of Africa.
