We are planning a concert to mark 40 years since the beginnings of Wilmslow Wells, with choral music by the Barnby Choir, based around the theme of water.
Wilmslow Wells founder Brenda Mottershead and her husband Keith were keen members of the Barnby Choir for many years, so it is especially fitting to be able to celebrate in this way.
There will be the chance to meet and chat, and to see displays of some of the activities and projects that WWfA has supported over these last 40 years. There will also be the launch of a booklet celebrating the history and activities of Wilmslow Wells.
Over these years, this small local charity has raised and provided over £1.6M to enable more than 350 projects, bringing fresh water and associated benefits to more than half a million people in some of the most deprived rural areas in some 20 countries in Sub-Saharan Africa. Much has developed and improved in so many places through this time. Much more remains to be done and can be done with your continued support.
Please note the date and see www.wilmslowwells.org for further details as these develop.
